Mark De Maine is the president and founder of De Maine Wealth Management. Mark started his investment management practice from scratch in 2001. He literally hit the streets knocking on residential and small business doors introducing himself and his practice to Suwanee and surrounding neighborhoods.

For over 20 years Mark has been helping families like yours with all of their financial needs. His comprehensive approach to wealth management seeks to help his valued clients to create, build, preserve and eventually distribute wealth in the most prudent, tax advantaged ways.

Mark has extensive professional experience in the areas of wealth management and investment planning. He draws upon substantial knowledge of investment planning gained during his term as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones and Assistant Vice President of Investments with Bank of America Investments, members of the New York Stock Exchange. Mark has a masters degree in finance/business administration from Saint Michael's College in Burlington, VT and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Towson University in Baltimore, MD.

Mark also draws on 10 years small business experience as a Marketing Manager, Territory Manager, and Financial Representative with Fortune 500 companies. Mark worked with John Deere and other equipment dealers throughout the northeast and southeast helping dealers develop and grow. Mark knows the concerns and problems small business owners face because he helped them solve those issues.

Using his passion for money management, and his ethics and morals of how people want to be treated, Mark established relationships and trust all over the Atlanta metro area. Those relationships and friendships continue and grow every day.

Ask Mark's clients what they value most in him and many will tell you it's the close personal relationships that Mark develops with each of his clients. Mark's clients are all friends of which he takes great interest in growing and maintaining his relationships, so why wouldn't he service them with the utmost of personal service, respect and regard.

Many clients will tell you they just have a certain trust that Mark will do what's best for them in managing their money. Mark will often tell his clients that he will invest their money as if it were his own, or that he invests his money right along side his clients in some of the same strategies, and they know he will.

Mark's personal experience with his terminally ill father who passed away in July 2005 from ALS, gave him an up close experience and education in legacy planning, estate planning, elder care, and trust creation and resolution. It is this personal experience that still helps his clients today.

Mark lives with his wife Peg and two children Piper and Cort in Suwanee, GA. Mark's hobbies are running, tennis, golf, and spending time with his family. From time to time you may catch Mark on the local evening and morning news giving his take on the markets to the Atlanta metro area.

Cortlin is a Wealth Advisor with De Maine Wealth Management. He joined the team in 2024 to work closer with his father, Mark, and establish a new office in the Jacksonville area.

Before joining his father at De Maine Wealth Management, Cortlin worked at Rockefeller Capital Management for a year and a half as a Client Associate - Analyst. While at Rockefeller, Cortlin helped high-net-worth families manage, preserve, and plan for future generations. Prior to his time at Rockefeller Capital Management, Cortlin also worked for two years helping software startups with their sales and business development strategies.

Cortlin graduated with highest honors from Georgia Institute of Technology, obtaining a degree in business administration and finance. He was selected as one of 12 incoming business students for the Scheller College of Business Dean’s Scholarship program. While at Georgia Tech, Cortlin was heavily involved in the business school and campus life. He was a member of the investments committee which managed the over $2 million endowment of the Georgia Tech Student Foundation, working with the energy team to research and manage the endowment’s energy positions. Additionally, as a member of the Scheller Business Ambassadors, he helped to promote and expand the business school’s presence inside and outside of Georgia Tech.

Cortlin has been immersed in finance since he was a child. Growing up with a wealth manager and small business owner as a father, finances and investing were often a part of the conversation from a young age. Whether it was listening to his father talk about the markets, reading financial news, or discussing small business ideas with his friends and family, he has always been interested in finance.

Cortlin began his work in the wealth management industry to help others achieve their goals. Having seen firsthand the value of wealth management strategies, he knew that he wanted to help others in the same way his father had. Drawing on his education and experience, Cortlin aims to help his clients build, preserve, and manage their wealth. This passion for helping others extends beyond his professional life, and you can find him serving his community through local organizations.

Cortlin lives outside of Jacksonville with his dog Frost. He spends his free time hiking, running, golfing, fishing, and enjoying anything outdoors.
